The National Honor Society at Coral Gables High School is an active chapter of one of the nation’s finest organizations established to acknowledge high school students with outstanding achievements in the areas of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service.

     Supervised by CAP counselor Ms. Gail Payne and Student Activities director, Ms. Ana Suarez, the Coral Gables NHS chapter places a strong emphasis on serving one another and the community. The importance of service is expressed in the National Honor Society’s official motto, "Noblesse Oblige." The phrase "Noblesse Oblige" stands for nobility obliges—with power and prestige come great responsibilities.

    Being a part of the National Honor Society is a special privilege, one that members are required to maintain by upholding the standards of NHS and fulfilling certain obligations.
